Everybody knows that perhaps the most widely used rig in bass fishing is a Texas rig. This simple, yet revolutionary way of rigging a soft plastic bait was invented in the 1960s by an angler from Lake Tyler, Texas in order to fish submerged timber and vegetation without getting snagged. Since its inception, anglers all over have relied on this very technique to catch fish. However, the modern debate on whether you should peg or not peg your sinker still confuses many.
Our good friend, and Pro Staff member Jacob Spencer with Crossroad Outdoors put together this fantastic video giving us his two cents on the topic!
